Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

We are a growing agile coaching and custom web and mobile app development firm in the New England area. We leverage years of experience building and leading software development teams to create award-winning products and to make our client companies more successful.

We're looking for a smart, passionate, motivated individual who loves sales, who isn’t afraid to make cold calls and who wants a genuinely rewarding career path with serious long-term earning potential. We'll provide you with product training, technical and administrative support and you'll be responsible and accountable for producing results.

This position requires a well-organized, self-starter who is capable of creating and maintaining strong relationships. You must be a flexible professional with a positive, energetic personality and work ethic to meet the needs of our client-driven business.

Primary duties include inbound and outbound call handling, email communication, order fulfillment, and customer service. We provide the job training; you provide the initiative and desire.

You will be responsible to:

  • Develop strong working relationships with customers and implement marketing programs to meet company goals.
  • Provide regular updates and information relating to daily activities and account statuses.
  • Cold call on commercial customers.
  • Develop a territory in the local market by referral, networking and cold calling; extensive prospecting and business-to-business sales.
  • Sell our products and services to established customers and develop new prospects within assigned territory.
  • Provide product training to customers’ staff on product offerings.
  • Address any questions on products and have the ability to discuss points of difference.
  • Discuss and resolve any customer questions or concerns.
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status.
  • Implement the CRM tool; accountable for management, mining, maintenance and reporting from the CRM tool.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Experience creating financial proposals and statement of work proposals for outside sales.
  • Understanding of how to identify needs, who is in authority to make buying decisions, establish buying timeframes, and if the prospect has the money to move forward.
  • Research abilities to inform outside sales on the background of potential clients.
  • Ability to write sales call plans and participate in or lead the strategic account management process.
  • Working knowledge of, or experience with, Scrum.
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills are essential for this position. Must be able to exchange detailed information with co-workers, our clients and our vendors concisely and have a firm grasp of the English language.
  • Must be able to respond to client needs in a positive manner while maintaining a professional demeanor. Professional appearance and attire required for sales calls.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven industry experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in CRM systems
 

We are a virtual company, giving you the opportunity to work from a location of your choosing. You will attend a combination of on-site as well as remote meetings. As our current client base is in the New England area, living within one hour of Boston is preferable. Occasional overnight travel may be required depending upon the location of the client. A criminal record background check is required upon hire as a requirement of our client companies.
